The Flats You Didn't Know You Needed
And other things, like a cabbage recipe you'll want to make ASAP
Welcome back to our lil Midweek Quickie. Each Wednesday, I send out a very quick list of five things that caught my attention. Let’s get into it:
I ordered these navy suede flats last year. Believe me when I say they are perfect. The toe vamp is just right, the heel features the tiniest lift, they fit like a glove, and you can’t beat the price. You truly don’t know how versatile a navy flat is until you have a pair!
There isn’t a world where I’ll give up my denim collection (or stop growing it), but this article was really helpful in recommending other options for those days when you need to elevate your look a bit.
I recently went to Ezov for dinner and was completely blown away. Highlights were the Hummus with Charred Broccoli, Kanpachi Crudo, Chicken Schwarma, and the Apple & Honey Cake. If you find yourself in Austin, go. (TBH, go to any Emmer & Rye restaurant group restaurant while you’re at it).
Sticking with food: I love cabbage, and I love gochugang. Imagine my delight when I stumbled upon this recipe. It would pair really well with any protein, but especially chicken or pork, plus a side of steamed rice.
Okay, so you’ve made this gorgeous cabbage recipe (or whatever) and want it to look even more gorgeous on your table. How about serving it on literally anything from Porta? I cannot get enough of this new-to-me brand. This platter is a favorite. And omg don’t get me started on their mugs…takes me straight back to Italy.
Porta!!!!
